What we commit to, and what we do not.

Six notices, in plain language. The short version: we are a platform, advice comes from regulated professionals, automated results are always labelled and always reviewed, and nobody can guarantee an immigration outcome.

AI Use Transparency Policy

WorkSettle uses automated systems to read the documents you give us, to match your profile against job postings and immigration criteria, and to draft checklists. We tell you where that has happened: anything produced automatically is labelled, and every match shows which criterion it met and which it did not.

Automated output is never the final word on your file. A licensed immigration consultant reviews anything that affects an application before it is filed, and an employer — not an algorithm — decides who they hire. If an automated result looks wrong to you, say so and a person will look at it.

We do not use your documents to train models for anyone else, and we do not sell your profile.

Business Posting Terms

Employers posting a role must be a real business, legally entitled to hire in Canada, and recruiting for a position that genuinely exists. We verify businesses before a posting goes live, and we remove postings that turn out not to meet that bar.

A posting must state the pay, the location, the hours, and whether the employer will consider candidates on a work permit. Charging a candidate a fee to apply for, obtain or keep a job is prohibited on this platform and is unlawful in most Canadian jurisdictions.

We may remove a posting or an account, without refund, where a posting is misleading, discriminatory, or used to collect personal information for another purpose.

Immigration Services Disclaimer

Nothing on this website is immigration advice. It is general information, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and immigration rules, thresholds and fees change without notice.

In Canada, paid immigration advice and representation may only be provided by a lawyer in good standing with a provincial law society, a Quebec notary, or a consultant licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Advice given through WorkSettle is provided by such regulated professionals, and you will be told who yours is.

No one can guarantee the outcome of an application. Any promise of a visa, a nomination or permanent residence — from us or anyone else — should be treated as a reason to walk away.

Platform Roles Legal Disclaimer

WorkSettle is a technology platform. It connects candidates, employers and regulated immigration professionals; it is not an employer, not an employment agency, and not a party to any contract you enter into with an employer.

We verify that a business exists and is recruiting. We do not guarantee the accuracy of what an employer writes, the terms it eventually offers, or its conduct as an employer. Equally, we do not warrant a candidate’s credentials to an employer — assessment and reference checking remain the employer’s responsibility.

Where a regulated professional advises you through this platform, the professional relationship is between you and that professional, governed by their regulator’s rules.

Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to do the job you asked for: your contact details, the contents of the resume and documents you upload, your immigration status, and the applications you make through the platform.

We share your profile with an employer only when you apply to them, and with a regulated professional only when you engage one. We do not sell personal information. Documents are retained while your account is open and for as long afterwards as professional and tax rules require, then deleted.

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for your account and documents to be deleted. Write to our privacy contact and we will respond within thirty days.

Terms & Conditions

Using this site or the WorkSettle app means you accept these terms. You agree to give accurate information, to use the platform only for finding work, hiring, or pursuing your own immigration matter, and not to misrepresent your identity or status.

Fees for consultations and subscriptions are shown before you pay and are described at the point of purchase. Government fees are separate, are set by the government, and are never refundable by us.

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
